About Us

Samuel Rains [1823 - 1898] established his estate agency business in  Manchester in 1868. Generations of the Rains family have continued to ply the trade ever since. 

Simeon Rains joined his father Michael in 1981 as an apprentice, learning the business from the bottom rung of the ladder and later establishing his first independent estate agency, Rains & Son, in 1991.

Born and raised in Macclesfield, Simeon still resides in the town today. 

Simeon also shares longstanding links with neighbouring Congleton, where his mother established the first ever Body Shop franchise, within her furnishing and bookshop 'Clutter in Congleton' at number 16 & 18 High Street.

Simeon helped his mother with the business during weekends and school holidays in the late 1970's;  later choosing to reside in the town for several years. 

Simeon's father, Michael, established 'Samuel Rains & Son' offices in both Macclesfield and Congleton in the 1950's, with both offices still occupying the original premises today; albeit under a later rebranding of the name Rains.

 With over 40 years in the estate agency business, Simeon offers a personal and highly individual property strategy, & whether apartment, country estate, or small commercial property; Simeon works tirelessly to achieve the very best possible results for his valued vendor clients.
